Daniel Radcliffe is to play legendary Beat poet Allen Ginsberg in new movie ‘Kill Your Darlings’.

The ‘Harry Potter’ star is set to start shooting the film – which will be written and directed by John Krokidas – after his run in Broadway play ‘How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying’, TwitchFilm.com reports.


The project was initially announced in 2009 with Jesse Eisenberg originally set to play Ginsberg with Chris Evans as poet/novelist Jack Kerouac and Ben Whishaw as instrumental Beat Generation figure Lucien Carr.


It is not known if Evans and Whishaw are still attached to the project.


The film – which is based in real events – revolves around the relationship between Ginsberg, Kerouac and Carr.


Ginsberg – who was openly gay – was a leading figure of the Beat Generation in 1940s and ’50s New York City, a movement that was highly critical of American materialism, censorship and conformity.


His friendship with fellow writer Kerouac began when the men were introduced by Ginsberg’s Columbia dormmate Carr, who was later sentenced to first-degree manslaughter in the killing of David Kammerer, a friend of fellow Beat Generation figure William S. Burroughs who had become infatuated with him.

Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher has apologised after tweeting about an alleged child abuse messages ignorant various sex scandal at a University.

Kutcher is the functioning of his Twitter account to hand over his personal management after he tweeted about the firing of Penn State sports coach Joe Paterno.

On Wednesday night defended Kutcher the American football coach on Twitter for learning the details of the alleged scandal swirling around former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

“How to fire Jo Pa? # noclass # insult as a hawkeye fan I find it in bad taste. ” Kutcher tweeted.

Kutcher then recanted and apologized on Twitter. He followed with a blog post saying that he would have Katalyst Media manage his Twitter feed as “a secondary editorial to measure the quality of the content”.

Kutcher, who has more than 8.2 million followers, said Twitter had now more than more than “a fun tool”. The 33-year-old ‘ Two And A Half Men ‘ star said architecture has become “too big” for him manage only.

The move came as Governor of Pennsylvania Tom Corbett early Penn State students to refrain from violence after riots moans their college town after the resignation of Paterno, saying the nation was watching their behavior.

Mr Corbett spoke in Paterno and University President Graham Spanier also disappointment, which were fired through University trustees the night before for their treatment of the allegations.

Thousands of students took to the streets on Wednesday night after Paterno of dismissal, a TV news of overturning and throwing rocks, bottles and other objects at police and others.

“I believe in your right of Assembly and your right to express your opinion,” said Mr Corbett. “I do not believe, nor does anyone believe, in your right to violence.”

Investigators said they were reviewing video footage and numerous suspects who could be charged with riot, attempted arson or other graves have identified.

“The crowd was initially a peaceful demonstration against coach firing Paterno’s. State College police said the crowd quickly changed from a peaceful demonstration to a riotous crowd, “in a statement.

“The crowd attempted to light vehicles on fire, and tore down light posts and street signs.”

Police estimated the crowd in total 4,000 to 5,000 people and that officers made numerous orders to disperse them but eventually had to use pepper spray.

Paterno had previously announced on Wednesday that he planned to retire after the season and remorse for not having done more after he learned sex abuse accusations that was filed against former defensive coordinator Sandusky, who has denied the charges.

On Wednesday evening, the board of trustees announced his immediate firing.

Morgan Freeman receives the Cecil b. DeMille Award for contribution to entertainment at the Golden Globes next year.

The 74-year-old actor – best known for roles in ‘ Driving Miss Daisy ‘, ‘ Million Dollar Baby ‘ and ‘ Invictus ‘, where he played Nelson Mandela – will be honored with the prize during the ceremony on January 15, 2012.

The accolade, the Golden Globes version of a lifetime achievement award, has previously given to Steven Spielberg, Robert DeNiro and Warren Beatty.

Morgan – known for his deep voice and high stature-won in 1989 for playing driver Hoke Colburn in ‘ Driving Miss Daisy ‘ a Golden Globe, and picked up an Oscar for the part of Eddie in 2004 ‘s ‘ Million Dollar Baby, “which also starred Hilary Swank and Clint Eastwood.

Morgan most recently starred as Dr. Cameron McCarthy in surprise hit ‘ Dolphin Tale ‘ and then will be seen in Batman film ‘ The Dark Knight Rises ‘ and ‘ The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle. “
