I bought this originally thinking I could get away with 12 gauge speakerwire, but realized that I needed something a bit more robust,

so after an initial hookup, I wound up replacing it with a higher gauge. This is decent wire if 12 gauge is what you need, but for my speakers – after testing this wire out, I desired something a bit more robust and went with 16 gauge wire, my ears and speakers deserved it. Still, this is a good value for the item, if 12 gauge is what you need.

I am not an expert in the speaker cable. However, this is the lowest price I can get online. The product was delivered fast, only 2 or 3 days. The product came as described. Satisfied with the seller and the product.

This wire is not 12 gauge wire. I have to agree with everyone else. Because it fits in the 12 gauge hole in a wire stripper does not make it 12 gauge wire. While I’m not a wire gauge expert, I’d say that this wire is about 15 gauge, or between 16 and 14 gauge sized wire. Maybe this is why the wire is at the price point of similar 14 gauge “speaker” wire (I say that because it is finely stranded like good speaker wire should be). If you’re going to do a run greater than 50 feet, just buy two spools and double it up. At the price, you can afford it.

  4. Compared to other 12 guage wire I purchased for my home theater this was a bit thin. The coating is dense and the speakers sound great. A good product for the price I am still wondering if it is really 12 guage.

Wire is great. Gauge is the only thing that matters for signal quality. Don’t be fooled by “monster” cable. Those are just overpriced.
