We live at an interesting time of scientific knowledge. Scientists say that you cannot gain an advantage over the Casino, since the odds are stacked against you. Scientists also say that Astrology does not seem feasible, since it does not fit in with known scientific laws. However, it is estimated that approximately 100 million people in the world either follow Astrology or see that there is some truth in it.

Are all these people gullible or stupid? Do people just follow something in their millions, century after century, if there is nothing there? Are humans really this fickle, or is it because each of them has had personal experiences or discoveries that have made them see that something very real and valid is going on? Avoid being too fickle yourself when answering this question!

Why this is an interesting time is because of this disparity in scientific and common knowledge. One day, probably in the not-too-distant future, when science has begun to unravel the causes and effects of Astrology in more detail, several areas of life will change form or lose their appeal. Can you imagine a world where Insurance companies would work out your motor vehicle premiums based on how accident-prone your birth-chart was? Or where police would be able to short-list you with regards to having committed a crime on a specific date? Or where employers would first look at your Astrological compatibility with the existing staff-members? Or where mothers would choose the time of their child’s Caesarian birth so as to avoid a Scorpio moon, a Saturn opposition or whatever? Can you imagine a world of Astrological discrimination? Are you beginning to appreciate why Astrology is known as ’secret’ or ‘hidden’ knowledge? Why it is ‘protected’? Why you can argue with someone or spell it out to them until you are blue in the face, and they still won’t see it? They are not thick. They are just excluded.

Astrology is a gift. It ‘forces open’ your Third Eye. Certain aspects in a person’s natal chart, especially to or from Mercury and Uranus, enable (or permit) them to see its truth. For the rest, it is simply blocked. They just don’t get it, or are not interested. They cannot, or may not, take advantage of the influences affecting their lives. Without a doubt, there are times which are favorable for one to undertake various tasks or activities, and times when it is extremely unadvisable to undertake these same activities. The sterile world of scientists, insurance companies, criminal investigators, psychiatrists, and… yes, casinos, is still mostly unaware of these hugely deterministic influences that affect our lives and fortunes.

Thank goodness! Would you rather be one of the first people to take advantage of a gold rush, or only get in when the millions in their hordes were frantically trying to make their fortunes? Be grateful for your your knowledge, your ‘gift’, and things as they stand. Take advantage of esoteric knowledge, before it becomes common knowledge.

Scorpios get a lot of bad press. They’re vindictive, mean, and obsessed with sex. That’s not really fair. Scorpio rules the house of sharing. They are the stewards of sharing money, resources, love, and yes sharing each other’s bodies. It is their deepest most spiritual need to be completely connected, loved, and sharing from the depth of their soul. It’s from this place that they are so easily hurt. Wounded Scorpios are a force to be reckoned with and yes, they’re famously ruthless and cruel. How do you keep your own Scorpio child from becoming obsessive and mean?

Love them. Yes, all children need to be loved, but Scorpio children need to be loved at such a deep personal connected level. The worse thing you can do to a Scorpio child is to ignore them. They feel emotionally abandoned and never really learn to trust anyone again. You absolutely must make sure that your Scorpio child knows that you love them. Touch them with purpose. They need parents that are fully present paying attention to them. They are high maintenance children until they are convinced that they are loved unconditionally, then they become extremely self-reliant. They need to hear you tell them that you recognize them as the incredible souls that they are. They need to be taken seriously. Don’t laugh off the dreams of a Scorpio child. You will crush their spirits and once they’re crushed, they’re cursed. Hug them with strength. Love them with your entire being. Really listen to them when they talk to you. They are incredibly wise old souls from the day they are born. They probably know you better then you know yourself. Acknowledge them and their incredible minds.

Share with them. They must believe at the very deepest core of their being that it’s safe to share their hearts. They feel abandoned if you only offer them superficial conversation and light fluffy family dynamics. They need the meat and potatoes kind of parenting. Talk to them openly. Tell them your thoughts. Role model open communications and how beneficial it is when trying to deeply connect with another. Scorpios only become sneaking and secretive as a way of self-protection. Show them that by openly sharing one’s thoughts, feelings, and love that real connection is achieved. They hunger for that deep connection. Show them positive ways to get it.

Discipline them. Scorpios are extremely strong willed and powerful by nature. They know exactly who they are and that most people don’t have the strength, knowledge, nor stamina to match their own. They have a tendency to believe that they were born with a crown on their heads and that they don’t have to follow the rules that other people follow. They will laugh and mock you as you lay down the rules. You have to be strong and firm while teaching Scorpios that yes, the rules do apply to them too. If you are a dictator in your parenting style, they will imitate you and become dictator like also. If you cave in to their charm and their constant attempts at persuasion then they will use charm and persuasion to get their way in life. If you beat them into submission, they will do the same. They have to be disciplined in a way that is strong, meaningful, and firm. They have to know without a doubt that you love them with all your heart and that they still have to follow the rules. They have to learn the basic lesson that there are repercussions for making bad choices. If you don’t teach them, they will believe that they are above the law.

Scorpios are known for having problems with drugs and alcohol. They often need to escape the cruel realities of life. The real world seldom meets their deep spiritual needs for true sharing and connection. Teach them as children how to get these needs met and you will have an adult with more willpower and focus then most people can comprehend. Raise your Scorpio in violence, anger, negativity, and loneliness and you will create an adult capable of being selfish, manipulative, and extremely revengeful.

Adult Scorpios raised to use their gifts and powers in a positive constructive manner are among some of the most amazing people. They give so much back to the world once they know that they are deeply connected to it. They will give their last dollar to a stranger in need because sharing is what they do best. Healthy happy Scorpios are the most passionate and loyal spouses, employees, and members of society. Raise your Scorpio well and you will give an incredible leader to the planet. They have the brilliance, compassion, and stamina to create anything they set their minds to. Scorpios can change the world.

Viagra. That one word packs a lot of punch. Let’s face it; there is little that has been derided more than Viagra. On the talk shows, it has been the butt of more jokes than Michael Jackson and Saddam Hussein combined. For example:

(OK, OK. I admit I was going to share an example or two, but I couldn’t find any clean enough to pass my censor’s well-trained eyes.)

Of course, if you are not laughing yet from the jokes you could imagine I might have told, it may be because you are so fed up of receiving offers for Viagra in your email inbox, right up there with the prospect of enhancing body parts you didn’t even know you owned. In fact, you may even be convinced that spam was invented just to deliver the Viagra industry’s message to your personal desktop.

Can anything good come from Viagra?

As a matter of fact, yes. Scientists have actually found a benefit from Viagra (No, I am not talking about experimenting in their labs.) Apparently Viagra is good for the environment.

It took a lot of work and several failed attempts to reach this conclusion. First, the scientists tried to use Viagra as an additive to revive lakes that were dying from acid rain. Unfortunately, it raised the lake’s body temperature and fried the fish.

Then they tried using Viagra to replace polluting dry cleaner chemicals, but clothes came back too rigid to wear: “Hey, how come my fleece isn’t soft anymore?” “I thought I told you not to starch my collars.” “Ouch!”

The researchers tried feeding Viagra to swine, cattle, and chickens, hoping to replace feed sources that now consume vast areas of land. However, the farm animals wouldn’t touch the stuff. The cockroaches, however, found it energizing, and before long there were very few barns left.

Next they decided to see if Viagra could be used as a low-polluting fuel to heat homes in the winter. That option looked promising … until airplanes started hitting the rising chimney stacks. Oops.

Then the scientists tried offering Viagra to all the taxi drivers who insisted on idling their polluting engines between fares. Unfortunately, it seems that most cab drivers preferred idling to anything Viagra could do for them (which may explain the way they drive.)

Finally, the researchers have discovered that Viagra can save endangered species. This is no joke - check the wire services on the Internet. In fact, a paper published recently by researchers at the University of Alaska and the University of New South Wales reveals that the trade in exotic body parts used as aphrodisiacs has fallen dramatically since Viagra hit the market.

Rhinos love this, because poachers had made them almost extinct, killing them for the horn, so sought-after by the lovelorn, and leaving the carcass behind. Reindeer feel more secure about their antlers now, too, since the velvet coverings are in less demand. And you may already have noticed fewer seals walking around town with their legs crossed, as the price for their private parts has fallen 72 percent.

Others who are thrilled about this great scientific discovery include sea horses, pipefish, elk and the ever beloved sea cucumber. I am still not sure whether that last one is a joke.

So, is Viagra the butt of countless jokes or the scourge of the Internet? If you look for silver linings, it is neither. It is the savior of endangered species. Now that I’ve helped clear that up for you, what else do you deride? What else upsets you? Can you find a silver lining? I’m sure you can. If Viagra is a good thing, can there be anything bad?
